Discover Sabah History on Cultural Tour

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about Sabah’s rich history, culture and tradition in a fun setting. High in the hills above Kota Kinabalu, the village showcases five different ethnic tribes. Their story is brought to life by a knowledgeable tour guide and the opportunity to visit traditional houses to witness some of their long-established skills, including fire-making using bamboo and making Lihing (rice wine). The morning tour concludes with ethnic music/dancing followed by a Malay buffet lunch.

Mari Mari Cultural Village Tour: Sample Itinerary

0900 – Pick-Up from your hotel (only Kota Kinabalu City area) and transfer to Mari Mari in Kampung Kionsom
0945 – Arrival at Mari Mari Cultural Village and introduction to / welcome from your Tour Guide
1000 – Tour commences, including visits to 5 traditional houses representing Sabah’s major tribes
1200 – Lunch (Malay Buffet Lunch)
1245 – Depart Mari Mari Cultural Village and return to Kota Kinbalu City
1330 – Arrival at your hotel (only Kota Kinabalu City area) (Dependent on traffic conditions)
