Kawa Kawa Mangrove Wildlife Adventure Day Tour
A daily tour operating from Kota Kinabalu, it’s a fun afternoon/evening visit near the small town of Kota Belud, 90 minutes north of KK. There are two river cruises to enjoy: the first looking for mangroves, monkeys (Proboscis Monkeys & Long-Tail Macaques) & Monitor Lizards and then, after nightfall, looking for fireflies (winged beetles) that congregate and flash in the mangrove to create displays that have been described as a “Summer Christmas Tree!”

1800-1945 Dinner and Fireflies River Cruise (101 Ecopark)
1930-2100 Return to KK and drop-off at your hotel/Airbnb (KK City area only) (timing subject to traffic)
